"Kaunas County is attractive to foreign investors because of
its geographical location, convenient as a strategic multi-modal transport
point, and because of its highly qualified labour pool and infrastructure.
During the last years, the FDI has increased from 75.3 mln USD to over 300 mln
USD, and the number of companies with foreign capital has increased from 161 to
565. Most of the companies are successful and develop their business with
increased profits.
The County administration has prepared a number of investment programmes
and projects and will gladly welcome foreign partners for their co-financing and
actual implementation. We believe that by joint efforts and rational use of the
region's advantages, we can develop the latent possibilities of the County and
build our co-operation, based on mutual trust and benefit."

Morkevičius, Governor of Kaunas County |
